the love story pt2 & other sundry items

So today, we finished the love story:

Erin told Joe, "Hey come on over to my house for a Party for Two."
As the Wild Nights continued, on a Wonderful Night, Joe and Erin reached Vertigo, as Joe said "Welcome to the Jungle."

It was so smooth, it was just Heaven. Later that week, Erin told Joe, "I don't think that this will work out like we thought." Being so bewildered at this fact, "My arms are open, I have open arms for you." He was so flustered. Joe sat on the dock of the bay to ponder these things and wondered what it'd be like here without you, erin.

Joe told erin, "i have a paper heart, and you just lit it on fire, i am fueled by you."

Erin said, "I am without you, but please don't let your llama eat a giraffe or vice versa or jump off a cliff!"

So as this story really never concludes but rather just drops off, we are left to ponder the question of what true love really is, and why we all live to love.

the love story pt.1

Today, I began a two part love story between a guy and a girl, and their story is based on the song titles that I played today and that I will play next week! so here we go:

On one day, Joe met Erin, Joe was immediately enraptured by Erin, she seemed to have the exact personality Joe was looking for.
Joe said to Erin, "I need more love."
"I think we should be Just Friends." Erin responds.

Joe thinks to himself, oh, Send me an angel. As these foolish games continued, Joe was Colorblind to the fact that he would do anything for Erin. And so he picks Petals from a rose as he tries to win Erins heart by Doin' Time for anything she needs. Joe found a Little Green Bag that inside had a Gloriana in it; this was what he needed to keep going on. Erin had something to confess:
"I have a Secret Identity," she said.
Joe responded, "I can't have her?"
Oh what tangled web we weave. Oh if Rapunzel would let down her golden hair and give me a chance. Well, Erin gives Joe that chance, and they try to take their friendship to Such Great Heights, that their friendship would Rock you like a hurricane. All Joe hoped for is that if it didn't work out that:
"You'll think of me," he told Erin.
Joe knew he was Hooked on a Feeling, although he wondered "What was I thinkin', but I know What I got" Joe sent this to the one I love,
"Erin you're Perfect, will you go out with me to dinner?" Joe asked.

Erin agreed and the next night, they met at a very fine restaurant,
Joe said, "Wow, the way you look tonight, it is fabulous."
The night went so well, Erin wanted to meet Joe for Breakfast at Tiffanys.
And This Kiss that Joe received after breakfast told him...

Requiem for the OC Supertones

Well, today is October 7th, 2005. This means that a decade of ska music has come to an end. The Orange County Supertones will be starting their final concert in just a little while. This concert is going to contain a glorious 32 song set of the Supertones. I have never been able to see the Supertones live in concert. Once I became a Supertones fan, there were only 2 concerts in Tennessee that I am aware of. Both of them came at times that I couldn't go and see them.

For those of you that want to know, the Supertones published 10 albums (including their side project GI Gantic) for a total of 142 songs. My favorite CD as a whole (outside the greatest hits) has to be Chase the Sun. I've been trying to pick my favorite song all day, but that is a pointless search. Their most famous song is Little Man which anyone who followed Christian music in the late 90's has heard of.

It's caused by a few different things: rainy, dreary day; all-around crummy day; worrying about week to come; etc. But I honestly think that some of it is just the fact that I know in the back of my mind that my favorite band is breaking up and I never got to see them or buy anything besides a CD. It doesn't help that I woke up to this on my calendar today:

Well, I can't help not seeing the Supertones live in concert, but I can help not owning any fan stuff. Therefore, I have found the fun in Ebay. I'm currently working on building a package deal of signed OC Supertones gear from their promotions company in Nashville.

Christian Rock music has now lost one of its first and best members. The OC Supertones have had a glorious career, playing the music that they wanted to play regardless of what people think. Well it is now time to bring back to the forefront the radio show still known as "thesubLeVeL" to its new and improved time slot on WMTS radio on the campus of MTSU broadcasting at the freq of 88.3 and online at www.wmts.org. The subLeVeL will be aired on Friday mornings from 6-8am (CST). All are invited to partake in the listening experience whether by radio or internet. It should be a fun adventure for all who participate.

Looking for Lucky

I have to say that this is the long awaited album from Hootie and the Blowfish. Their first album in over two years was released on Aug 9. My anticipation for this album increased after going to one of their concerts in Knoxville, TN. I was not dissapointed either. This album shows how the group has grown as preformers. Their first single will be One Love, great song. I will post more on this album once I have been able to finish the last few songs. Hootie Rocks!!

The Art of Breaking is such an awesome album, it rocks like a Thousand Foot Krutch album should but it is more than that, it is taking what we know and love and pushing it to new levels. This album is an awesome expression of life and knowing that God will be there for us, even if we don't feel like it. It is filled with emotion.

Well that is my rave for now, I will post more later.
